Frequently asked questions
How does Smartious work with Georgia's Declaration of Intent for Atlanta families?
Georgia requires an annual Declaration of Intent (DOI) filed between September 1–30 with your local school superintendent. Smartious provides curriculum descriptions, transcripts, and attendance documentation that satisfy Georgia's DOI process. Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, and Cherokee county families all file with their respective districts. Annual standardised testing required every 3 years — kept in family records, not submitted.
Does Smartious help Atlanta families apply to Spelman, Morehouse, Georgia Tech, and Emory?
Yes. Spelman, Morehouse, Clark Atlanta, Georgia Tech, Emory, UGA, Mercer, and Agnes Scott all accept Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level qualifications. Georgia Tech and Emory particularly value Cambridge A-Level for competitive STEM and pre-med programmes. We provide free Common App, HBCU application support, and HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship preparation guidance.
