Frequently asked questions
Does Smartious help Savannah families apply to SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design)?
Yes. SCAD evaluates applicants holistically — strong academic transcripts plus portfolio. Cambridge A-Level (including Art & Design 9479) strengthens SCAD applications notably. We provide free Common App support and recommend pairing Smartious academic curriculum with local SCAD K-12 programmes or portfolio development. HOPE Scholarship is fully available to SCAD-bound homeschool graduates with qualifying SAT/ACT scores.
Can Hunter Army Airfield military families homeschool through deployments?
Yes — Hunter AAF (3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, 75th Ranger Regiment 1st Battalion families) are a core Savannah demographic. Live classes run 8 AM – 5 PM ET with all sessions recorded for deployment continuity. Georgia homeschool registration (Declaration of Intent) remains active during overseas deployments. Many Savannah military families pair Smartious with future PCS moves elsewhere — our transcripts are recognised in all 50 states.
