Smartious teaches Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, IB and AP students in more than forty countries, live. We hire subject specialists who teach well on camera, mark carefully and care about each learner.

Positions

• Online subject teacher — Teach live classes to students around the world from home.
• Learning centre teacher (Nairobi) — Teach at our Parklands or Karen centres, with some online classes.
• Part-time tutor — One-to-one and small-group tuition, flexible hours.
• Examiner or exam-preparation specialist — Past-paper, mock and revision teaching for Cambridge, Edexcel, IB or AP.
• Non-teaching role — Admissions, operations, finance, marketing, technology or support.

How we hire

Apply with your details, subjects, documents and a demo lesson; we screen qualifications and documents; subject leads review the demo lesson; we interview; and we make an offer once safeguarding checks are complete.

Documents to have ready

• CV / Résumé — Your full teaching history, with dates.
• Academic certificates — Degree certificate(s) and transcripts.
• Teaching qualification — PGCE, B.Ed, Dip.Ed or equivalent.
• National ID / Passport — The photo page.
• Teaching licence / registration — For example TSC (Kenya), QTS (UK), SACE (South Africa) or your country’s register.
• Police clearance — Certificate of good conduct, DBS or equivalent, issued in the last 12 months.
• Safeguarding / child protection — Any recognised safeguarding course certificate.
• Training certificates (optional) — Examiner training, online teaching, CPD.
• References (optional) — Reference letters, or a document with two referees’ contact details.

And a demo lesson of 10 to 20 minutes taught online, as a video file or a link.
