Cambridge A-Level is a two-year advanced qualification taken after IGCSE, designed to prepare students for university study. It is known for its academic depth — students study a small number of subjects in considerable detail, developing the independent thinking and subject mastery that universities look for. A-Level is accepted for entry by leading universities worldwide, including Oxford, Cambridge and Ivy League institutions. Smartious delivers A-Level with specialist teachers and full university-application support.

Subjects offered

Students usually take 3–4 subjects. Smartious offers Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Business, Accounting, Computer Science, English, Geography, History and Psychology, among others. The first year (AS Level) can stand alone or build toward the full A-Level in the second year.

How it is assessed

Assessment is primarily by written examination, with practical assessments in the sciences. Grades range from A* to E. The structure allows AS Level results in the first year and full A-Level completion in the second. Smartious runs intensive revision programmes and full mock examinations marked to examiner standard.

Progression and pathways

A-Level is a direct university entry qualification. Smartious includes UCAS support for UK applications and Common Application guidance for the United States, along with counselling on universities across Africa, the Middle East, Canada and Australia. Subject choices are guided by intended degree — for example, Mathematics and Physics for engineering, or Biology and Chemistry for medicine.
